But they do take a bit of effort. Capital in Marx was so punctilious in his work-ethic that he would not merely read up but quote extensively from, and acknowledge his debt to, even little-known authors, and to his reader this habit can I read this many years ago as a student and loved it. Glad to say it is still the most amusing (and informative) book on the subject, assuming, of course, that you don’t want to risk blowing your cerebral cortex by reading the actual volumes (of Das Kapital) by Karl himself.

This is also why I haven't read the Song of Ice and Fire series yet, although I did cave in and binge watched the entire television show after it concluded.
